Architect: Atherden Fuller Leng. Manchester.

Double span portal framed building built on a reclaimed site designed to a brief by the client and their archietect. Garrif Construction acted as the principal contractor and employed ourselves to undertake the frame and envelope.

We designed, fabricated and erected the steelwork, together with the profiled metallic silver horizontal and contrast merlin grey vertical wall claddings. Complete and complimentary poppy red and heratage green trim flashings and rainwater goods.

The steel frame was erected in one continuous visit to site with the roof sheeting installed to enable the ground works contractor to cast the floor slab without due delay. The horizontal wall claddings were fitted during seperate visits to comply with the progress of the other building trades.

The clients are high specification joinery manufacturers and shop fitters undertaking major fitting out works, including nationwide supermarkets and the redeveloped stands at Old Trafford for Manchester UnitedFootball Club.

The steelwork shotblast cleaned and shop primed with two coats zinc phosphate poppy red colour paint to continue the red theme of the windows and trim flashings into the building.
